BaylorIC TV’s Ingram Jones is back with another Heavyweight Interview this time with Tony Grano who is in the top 10 of the WBC Rankings and fights Eric Molina on the same card as Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne battle it out in a final eliminator to be no1 contender for the World Title.
Grano, originally from Connecticut, now trains and fights out of West Palm Beach FL. Weighing 220 pounds, Italian-American Tony “TNT” Grano made his debut in 2005 and has a record of 20-2-1 with 16 knockouts. In 2009, Grano scored a KO over previously undefeated (18-0) amateur star Travis Kauffman. The KO over Kauffman was Ringside Magazines 2009 heavyweight fight of the year. After stopping highly regarded Brian Minto in a NABF heavyweight title eliminator bout at 1;:04 of the third round. Grano went on to fight former heavyweight contender DaVarryl Williamson 27-6 for the NABF heavyweight championship. On June 23rd 2012 Grano shocked fans and skeptics with a devastating 4th round knockout over Williamson capturing the NABF title and securing a 6th spot in the WBC rankings. Grano and his team are working on getting a fight to defend his title and move one step closer to a world title shot.
